THE BIG ROOFS
Commercial Roofing in Springdale, AR
Motels, churches and commercial buildings, shingle and metal, steeples included.
Chapter 01
Motels, churches and commercial buildings JAD has roofed
JAD Homes is licensed with the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board for commercial and residential building, and the job photos show it. One is a two-story motel roofed in green architectural shingle, with dormers and hips that make the roofline anything but a plain rectangle. Another is a commercial building under a new red standing-seam metal roof. Different buildings call for different roofing systems, and these two jobs put shingle and metal side by side.
The third is Holiday Island Presbyterian Church. Sallie Pittman wrote that JAD Homes replaced the church roof and steeple, and that the crew helped choose roof tiles that look the best with the building. In her words, every member commented on how nicely the colors looked with the building and landscaping. For owners in Springdale and across Northwest Arkansas, the contact named in the reviews is Jordan, at (479) 640-1444.

Working around an open business or congregation
A commercial roof sits over people who still need the building. A motel has guests and a front desk, and a church has a Sunday service. The questions that matter are practical ones: which days the crew works, where the dumpster and the trucks go, which entrances stay clear, and when the noisiest hours will be. Ask them when you call, and settle the answers before the first shingle comes off, not after.
Sallie Pittman described Jordan as her liaison at the church, someone who always responded and returned calls with answers to all their questions and concerns. That is the role a building owner or a church committee needs filled: one person who knows the whole job and picks up. She also noted that roof work means additional weight and pounding that may cause internal damage to a ceiling, so JAD Homes brought in two painters/carpenters to repair, replace and paint the ceiling and walls. The sanctuary and foyer looked lovely afterward.
Chapter 03
Steeples, crane lifts and other specialty pieces
The steeple at Holiday Island shows what specialty work takes. Hail and time had taken a toll on the old one. According to Sallie Pittman's review, JAD Homes searched for and found a company several states away to build and ship a new steeple with the correct weight and measurement specifications for the roof. A part like that does not come off a local shelf, so the finding, the specifying and the shipping all land on the roofer.
Getting it up took coordinating with a crane operator to remove the old steeple and set the new one, along with additional manpower. JAD Homes then reinstalled the lighting for the steeple at night. Sallie called it a tremendous amount of extra work. Tall, steep and one-off pieces are exactly where a roofer's planning shows. If you have a steeple, a cupola or a roofline that needs more than a ladder, call (479) 640-1444 and ask for Jordan.
“A tremendous amount of extra work went into installing our new steeple, for which we are so grateful.” Sallie Pittman, Google review.
